Charlbury Cricket Club Accreditation

For many years, Charlbury Cricket Club has worked hard to provide a high standard of coaching within the Youth Section, and all these efforts have paid dividends, not only in providing young talented players, but also to gain recognition by the English & Wales Cricket Board in being awarded the coveted Club Mark accreditation.

In simple terms, the Club Mark is similar to the British Standard Kite Mark, but has been specially tailored for the game of cricket. Very soon, this standard will be seen as a must for all progressive clubs and parents will look for the Club Mark insignia when selecting a suitable club for their children to attend.

Charlbury Cricket Club was the first one of just two clubs in West Oxfordshire to receive the award, and our certificate is now displayed in the Pavilion. There are many other benefits to be derived from holding the award, particularly in obtaining grants for the club, which will become very important to us in the future.

We must not stop the hard work, but continue to go the extra mile to ensure we are worthy holders of the Club Mark award.
