Women's Cricket at Charlbury
For many years, Charlbury Cricket Club has supported a strong girl's contingent in its Youth Cricket, providing cricket for girls up to the age of 15. Thanks to the availability of two pitches and with the support of the Cricket Club and its coaches, we have formed a women's section. Now we can offer girls the opportunity to continue playing for the club where they have grown up.

Membership of the section is open to all women and senior girls who would like to take part in the game. This ranges from those who take their cricket seriously through to ladies who would like some gentle exercise with friends and enjoy the social aspect of the game.

The women's team play in the Oxfordshire Women's League and additional friendly matches are arranged. Talented players may also play with the senior men's teams. The section will have its own training day; provisionally this is Thursday evening, with the help of one of the club coaches and access to the Cricket Clubs net facilities.

The club has plenty of equipment, so if you're not sure and just want to try the game out, you don't have to go to any great expense. If you join the Cricket Club, we will provide the support.
