It’s been an excellent run of cricket for Charlbury Chaos Women’s XI across our last six fixtures, with some strong performances setting us up nicely as we head into the crucial final weeks of the season.
Our recent results:
Game Week 1 vs Horspath – A brilliant all round performance saw us secure a 24 run win, with both bat and ball contributing well.
Game Week 2 vs West Oxfordshire Warriors – Another convincing win, winning by 59 runs after a solid batting display.
Game Week 3 vs Moreton – A hard fought 18 run win but a huge team effort all round.
Game Week 4 vs Oxford – Dominant from start to finish, we posted a big total and won by 50 runs.
Friendly vs Thame Town – With the scheduled Banbury game conceded, we arranged a friendly against Thame, coming away with a 27 run win, followed by a team brunch at Kingsley Café at Eynsham!
Game Week 6 vs East & West Hendred – A convincing 153 run win, our biggest margin yet, highlighted by a strong batting effort (not losing a wicket) and dominant in the field and with the ball.
These results have given the team some momentum and confidence. With the league still finely poised, attention now turns to some key upcoming matches against Kingston Bagpuize, and fellow table toppers Oxenford and Thame.
