Last Sunday saw us play our annual fixture against Siri Sports 🏏
The Liyanarachchi - Godfrey shield was introduced on the 15th anniversary of the fixture!! 🤩
It was a great day with lots of runs scored and wickets taken, excellent food and, as always, played in good spirit.
A high scoring encounter saw Siri Sports post a strong 243/9 in 35 overs, thanks to standout knocks from Shami Mendis (71) and Bim Liyanarachchi (61). Matt Doran kept Charlbury in the game with 3/41.
In reply, Charlbury battled hard, with David Jenkins scoring 57, but fell short at 201/9. Malaka Wijayasinghe starred with the ball, taking a brilliant 5/31. 👏
